As the holidays come and go and our personal lives ramp up into the new year, it is important to remember that many Americans are sadly still in need. The story is all too familiar these days, it seems. Our organization is proud of our efforts to give back in our community whenever we can. And while we know, we can’t fix the world and everything in it; we also know that our efforts, and your efforts, do make a difference.

The team at Masiello Employment Services have banded together once again and are happy to announce a company-wide effort to continue to give back in our local community.

Our Regional Director, Julie Pearson, and the team at Masiello Employment works to establish an annual vision for our company and its role in our community.  And, each year, there is a strong message from the Masiello Team that community-focused events are essential to our company values, a chance to give a hand-up to those in need, and to causes that benefit the community.

On February 12th, 2020, the Team, along with nearly 80 other volunteers (including our families – kids/parents/grandparents alike!) will be volunteering at the Keene Rotary Club to assemble 20,000 packets of food to give to those who are food insecure. The Rotary has generously funded the meals through the Outreach Program and has asked for community volunteers to assist with the labor needed to make it all happen. The meals themselves will go to the M.U.C.H Coalition (Monadnock Understands Child Hunger) to be distributed to local families and kids in need.

The message here is simple; we know we cannot change the world in one day. However, collaborating with others and working to give back helps everyone, both individuals and society, and only as a community can we make the world a better place. Our Team (and our families) are happy that they are fortunate enough to be able to give back, and our company supports the efforts of the many individuals and amazing organizations like these that make good things happen.

Please take a moment to learn more about our partner organizations and some of the great work that they are doing.

The Outreach Program: A non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation that organizes food packaging events around the country. With more than 550 million meals packaged to date, the organization’s mission is to provide safe waterfoodmedical care, and education to those in need, at home and abroad.

The Much Coalition: Monadnock Understands Childhood Hunger (M.U.C.H.) is a coalition of members who share the vision of access to abundant, healthy food for all of the children of our region. “Every child, Every meal, Every day” is our mantra and as simple and obvious a message, it is nonetheless a truth against great odds. Supply is not meeting growing demand in regional and national programs and choices are increasingly limited and inherently unhealthy.

The Keene Rotary: The main objective of Rotary is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today’s most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence
