Name: Monadnock Humane Society

Mission: To foster a compassionate community by promoting and providing for the
well-being of animals.

Work: In addition to rescuing surrendered animals and fostering animal adoptions, Monadnock Humane Society offers rabies and microchip clinics, spay-neuter clinics, pet supplies, doggie day care, animal boarding, dog training, “Read to a Dog” events, and therapy dog visits.

Name: Home Healthcare, Hospice, and Community Services

Mission: To provide services which enable people to function throughout life at their optimal level of health, well-being and independence, according to their personal beliefs and choices.

Name: Keene Senior Center

Mission: To be a community for vibrant older adults, for all those over age 50 from Keene, neighboring towns, and states.

Work: The Keene Senior Center is where seniors join as members to grow friendships, attend special meals and parties, have coffee and conversation, attend fitness classes, participate in a wide variety of social events and on-going programs, including singing and all kinds of crafts, help prepare and eat nutritious lunches, learn about books and writing, and play games such as bridge, cribbage, ping pong, bingo, and to volunteer.

Name: The Community Kitchen

Mission: To provide healthy and nutritious hot meals, take-home food boxes and advocacy to low & moderate income men, women and families with children in the Monadnock Region.

Work: From picking vegetables at a local farm to turning those ingredients into meals, The Community Kitchen does all the work needed to provide nutritious food and food boxes.
