Help us Celebrate National Manufacturing Day
Typically held annually on the first Friday in October, Manufacturing Day helps show the reality of modern manufacturing’s impact by encouraging thousands of companies and educational institutions around the nation to open their doors to students, parents, teachers, and community leaders to celebrate the art of ‘making.’
We’re helping to celebrate this day by sponsoring the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce (MA) Business After Hours at The Barn at Kringle Candle, located in Bernardston, MA. This is an exciting opportunity to tour the beautiful new venue at Kringle Candle, enjoy delicious chef select hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. You will have a chance to win top-notch raffles prizes, including a Farm Table Restaurant gift card, a Kringle Candle gift card, and a tote full of Fall Fun items donated by Masiello Employment Services.
Why celebrate manufacturing?
According to the NH Sector Partnerships Initiative, New Hampshire’s manufacturing economy supports approximately 67,218 workers across about 1,950 businesses, making manufacturing one of New Hampshire’s most significant industries – behind only retail, health care, and government. It is also one of our state’s principal economic drivers and poised for growth.
“Small and large companies throughout the state indicate that they are ready to expand, contingent upon their ability to fill key positions. Companies considering a move to New Hampshire will also require a qualified workforce large enough to fill the jobs they bring.” (NHPI)
