get-involved87616-300x154It is said that there is strength in numbers and that the best advertising is done by word of mouth. So how can we do these things for ourselves? By getting involved! One of the things that I have really enjoyed about being a part of the Masiello Team is our community involvement.

Here at Masiello Employment Services we are involved in numerous events and organizations. Just to name a few here in the Keene area: Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce, Keene Young Professionals Network, and The Rotary Club of Keene, Elm City Rotary, Greater Monadnock SHRM, and the Hannah Grimes Center. Not only is it a great way to get our name out there but it is a great way to represent what Keene and Masiello is all about.

These days networking is key for anyone who is in a professional setting looking for employment or trying to meet new people. Getting active in the community is a great way to meet new people and make friends. Being new area I can really attest to this. Through KYPN I have met some really great new friends. By networking and being involved in the community you are able to make both personal and business connections.

As a small business it is crucial to be a part of the community. Being involved in the community is how we show our unity as a team and our strength as a company. When we are involved in the community we are able to give back and improve the quality of life for us and others around us.

“Community involvement opens the doors to networking opportunities, raises the profile of the small business and creates a buzz about your company. Being involved in community volunteer activities stands out in the public eye.” – Citrus County Chronicle Online, December 2012

There are so many ways to become active in your community either with your company or on your own. When looking for ways to get involved, do what matters to you. Join your company’s sports team, help out at an after school program for kids, sponsor an event, or volunteer to help those in need. So get out there, get active and get involved in your community!
