Congratulations! You have an interview. You have prepared mentally, dressed appropriately, remembered to turn off your cell phone (I hope), and are walking into the office five minutes before your scheduled interview. You have checked in with the receptionist who has politely asked you to take a seat. You know the person conducting the interview will be paying close attention to everything you say and do, so you try to relax for a few minutes. This seems like a good time to gather your thoughts, since no one is paying attention to you. Or are they?
Finding a job in a competitive market is a tremendous challenge for all job seekers. If you haven’t got a college degree, it can seem like an especially daunting task. But, while a degree is important to many employers, there are still ways to stand out from the pack and land a great-paying job.
